Thyroid Health

Your thyroid supplies every cell in your body with energy. It sets the pace at which your body functions and works. Like a car engine, it produces the energy you need to travel at the speed you want.

If you can answer “yes” to one or more of these questions, the chances of a thyroid imbalance are high.

Are you suffering from mood swings?

Is your mood unusually changeable right now? These fluctuations, both positive and negative, can have an impact on various areas of life and should be taken seriously.

Do you always have cold or are you plagued by “hot flashes”?

Both excessive feelings of heat and permanent “cold” can indicate hormonal imbalances in the thyroid gland.

Do you feel scratched, nervous, shaky? Or lethargic, slow and “on the back burner”?

Neither of these conditions are “normal” and should not simply be accepted. The chances of thyroid problems are high.

Do you have increased hair loss or suddenly dry, brittle straw-like hair?

These symptoms are not “superficial beauty problems.” More than that, these symptoms indicate that the metabolism has a problem and needs support.

Are you struggling to lose or gain weight?

Weight stagnation despite adequate exercise, a healthy diet and plenty of sleep is a sign that metabolism is faltering. The reason for this may be a disorder in thyroid metabolism.

Are you suffering from loss of libido?

When metabolic performance and energy are lacking, the body switches off the desire for physical closeness and the libido disappears. This may be a clear sign of an inadequately functioning thyroid gland.

Thyroid dysfunction is not a life-long verdict.

Just like other hormonal disorders, they can support your body and promote thyroid function. It's about finding the cause of the malfunction. It's what I do for the women I work with.

In my work, I proceed as follows, among others:

  • I will explain the physiology of the thyroid gland to you and you will understand why hormone therapy is just a “patch solution”
  • We include the most important co-factors for thyroid health, such as iodine, selenium, zinc, vitamin A and vitamin D
  • I'm looking for the cause of your hypothyroidism or hyperfunction, whether it's a hormonal imbalance, autoimmunity, or the gut microbiome

Time, costs and deadlines

Time and costs

You can expect around 60 minutes per appointment. The hourly rate is 120 CHF/h and is billed according to effective time spent.

Attention: Until I graduate as a naturopath (May 2025), health insurance only covers foot reflexology services. You can find more information about this here.

cancelling

I would like to point out to you that appointments at least 48 hours before the agreed appointment must be cancelled so that you do not incur any costs. Should a cancellation be made later, the costs will unfortunately be charged. Thank you for your understanding and I hope you take this into account so that I can make the best possible time schedule and use my resources effectively.
