Iron Consultation

“Why is my iron level so low?” If you're asking yourself this question, you've come to the right place.
Possible symptoms of iron deficiency
tiredness and weakness
A common symptom of iron deficiency is persistent tiredness, even after adequate sleep.
headaches
Iron deficiency can result in frequent headaches or migraines.
Pale skin
Iron deficiency can cause a decrease in red blood cells, which can result in pale or dull skin.
shortness of breath
Because iron is needed to transport oxygen in the blood, a deficiency can make you feel short of breath, especially during physical exertion.
Cold hands and feet
Inadequate blood flow due to low iron levels can result in cold hands and feet.
hair loss
A lack of iron can cause hair loss or slow hair growth.
Iron as a complex trace element
Iron is one of the most complicated trace elements in our body and does a lot more than “just transport oxygen.”
- Energy metabolism: Iron is also crucial for energy metabolism. It is a component of many enzymes that are needed to break down nutrients and produce energy from carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
- Immune function: Iron plays a role in immune system function by supporting the production and activity of immune cells. Adequate iron levels are important to keep the immune system healthy and fight off infections.
- Cognitive function: Iron is also important for normal brain development and function. A lack of iron can lead to cognitive impairment, particularly in children, as iron is crucial for neurological development.
- DNA synthesis: Iron is involved in the synthesis of DNA, the genetic material in our cells. An adequate supply of iron is therefore important for cell growth and cell division, which is of great importance not only in everyday life but also during a fertility phase.

Time, costs and deadlines
Time and costs
You can expect around 60 minutes per appointment. The hourly rate is 120 CHF/h and is billed according to effective time spent.
Attention: Until I graduate as a naturopath (May 2025), health insurance only covers foot reflexology services. You can find more information about this here.
cancelling
I would like to point out to you that appointments at least 48 hours before the agreed appointment must be cancelled so that you do not incur any costs. Should a cancellation be made later, the costs will unfortunately be charged. Thank you for your understanding and I hope you take this into account so that I can make the best possible time schedule and use my resources effectively.
